Hopefully only another 10 days till I get my 964, I am having some work done before I take delivery (Shocks, springs, wheels, tyres, etc) at this stage I thought in for a penny in for a pound, how about an RS flywheel/clutch swap, anyone here have this done, is it worth while

Thanks

Hi

I've got a 964 with RS flywheel and clutch.

My thoughts are:-
-it revs really well but mine has also been remapped and I guess this helps as well
-the clutch is stiff but not painfully so
-it can be a real pain on changing down and is not forgiving of engine braking, mine will stall in 3rd coming up to a roundabout unless the revs are kept up

best

David

Probably worth while if the dual mass unit is fecked, but otherwise the lack of drivablity would suggest you'd want it to be a bit of a track car to put up with it. The revs do drop away sharply.

Ask Boxsey on here or 911UK about his experience before and after as I think it's better than those above. Everything else about the car is right too though.
