944 turbo engine value

[nickson]

what sort of money do 944 turbo engines go for? its the 220bhp model
engine has covered 180k miles, but had a rebuild at 112k at cost of £2600
hugely comprehensive service history for the engine

is it beneficial to sell as a ready to run package rather than taking bits off?

thanks

i sold my 220 turbo engine complete with all anc for £650 in 1999. No service history supplied with it. Can't remember exact miles but it was around 145k miles.

Typical prices seem to be around the £750-850 mark. More in demand seem to be S2 lumps, especially heads because of the cam chain failure. I sold one for £650 a whole ago with no history.
