Guys what's your experiences, opinions in buying from OPC over Indys concerning prices. Would you say OPC cars are way over priced comparing with Indys??

Possibly gona be on the look out soon for a Cayman S. Being in Scotland, most of the Indys are down South, which in honesty i have no issues in travelling for, but if prices are fairly comparable, i'd be easier to try and get Porsche Glasgow or Edinburgh to source me one?

Cheers

I choose OPC this time because imo indie,s are over priced,
When you take into account the 2 years warranty and normally a new set of PS2 ,it worked out cheaper.

It entirely depends on budget. OPC's will have newer models obviously, and in a the case of Caymans that ive been looking at OPC's they dont seem to have anything older than 07 reg's. I have noticed that they are not too worried about high mileage as in Porsche 2nd hand buying you must always look at condition! You also get good OPC's and bad ones. And the same goes with Indys. But some Indys, and its not hard to work out from various ones mentioned on here, are in line if not better than OPC's.
A big thing with OPC's is their warranty which buyers will look on favorably.
I did nearly buy a Cayman S from Bournemouth OPC but had to pull out last min. They were very good and had no dramas with them. But im going to go with RSJ or 911V when i take the plunge later this year. Although, looking at 911V at the moment they have a lot sold but not many avail.

Why don't you pop over to see Kenny Dunn? His prices are better than OPC and his cars are very well prepared. If he doesn't have anything in stock I'm sure he can source one for you.

Edinburgh, 5 mins walk from Haymarket station. for me he is the Scottish 911V or RSJ, had 3 cars from him & only 1 problem, needed a new battery. He had a man come to my home & fit it within an hour, great service.

I know the OPCs can vary in terms of quality and service but I recently bought a car from one and found them excellent in virtually every respect. Well priced and willing to negotiate if there was a sensible case, very nicely prepared car and good customer care. I looked at several cars, privately and at indies, and this was by far the best. I guess you have to take each car / sale on its own merits.

I hope the service levels continue now they have my money!
