911 first time buyer - advice please
Discussion
Hi all
I'm thinking of taking the plunge into ownership and looking around, there seems to be quite a lot of choice. I have a few questions which I'm hoping you can help with:
Firstly, are there buyers guides for the 964 and it's predecessor. I'm off to look at a 964 tomorrow and it would be helpful to have some pointers. I took out an '87 Carrera this morning and was blown away by it but I'm mindful that this is the first one I've tried.
Secondly, has anyone had any dealings with Lucky Motors in London Bridge? I'm mindful of naming and shaming etc but it would be useful to get an overall feel for them from those of you that may have used them in the past or do use them
My budget is up to 15k so all help and advice gratefully received
Thanks

You'll get some great help from the fine folk on here.
I was in the same boat and told to drive them both(3.2 & 964). I did just that and although I love the 3.2's originality I opted for the 964 as it was a car you can drive all day long and still kept the 911's originality. Also, as mine has the de-cat and sports exhaust it sounds great.
Once you've found the one you like, get a report done. At the end of the day you can't expect perfect as it's 20 odd years old but you can save yourself some expensive heartache by doing so.
Hope this helps........
