If anyone is interested in the following item on fleabay: 200720248802 (item number).

Just be warned it was an insurance write off, as my mate smashed it to bits on a wet day!!!

It's says it was stolen and recovered.

Did your mate rob it on a rainy day?

I like the dodgy disclaimer at the bottom of the advert! Got any photos of it when your mate trashed it??!!

I cant believe anyone would part with that sort of cash for a car advertised like that. It looks and reads as being so untrustworthy?

If the paperwork checks out and it's a fix you're happy with, why not? Stripping as a trackday special, or just enjoying it knowing that you got a bargain. As long as you buy knowing what your doing of course smile

Well - that would depend on the damage wouldn't it. If the chassis had been bent and straightened it would not be as strong as it once was. If so, would you want such a car on a track?? Though of course the counter argument is that these are sufficiently expensive to fix that there will be eminently repairable cars out there that have been insurance write offs. The bottom line surely revolves around knowing what the exact nature of the damage was...?

Yep, 34k, I was stunned, why when you can have a straight one for not a lot more. There really are some muppets out there.

Doesn't sit right too high at front, surprised at the money though and time left.
Could have a nice straight one for 45k+

If it falls through i would buy it for £28K, pull the tale pipe out a bit, stick some buckets in and go racing :-), it looks like they have raised the front to get over speed bumps, rear looks about right but front needs dropping an inch or so.
Got lovely PS2s i think - referbed wheels, and it looks like carbon brakes.

Just a question for those out there who have an opinion on such things, but have you actually seen what happens to a car that needs to be straightened?

I kind of think some folks think its a case of replacing a few bits of metal & cutting out a few other bent bits.

Have a look on YouTube, & be surprised. It involves some quite impressive hydrolic rams, & chains, lots & lots of chains.....

Anyone HPI'd it yet?

Is it both write off and stolen / recovered?

Thing with ebay is people bid up, but when they realise they have won, they dont bother buying! So the 35k its reached doesnt really mean much!!

One tail pipe sticks out further than the other....
Be a little more worried why it sits like a Harrier Jump Jet myself.. Did an earlier poster say they had probably done it to clear speed bumps, laugh
