GTS.. PDK or manual

There don't seem to be many used C2 GTS's available in manual. Was it not a popular option, or are they so good no one is selling?
I've got a manual GTS with short shifter option, have to say it's one of the best gearboxes I've ever used. Even in cold weather it doesn't seem to get particularly knotty.Amazing car, it just keeps on giving.
Mine's a short shift manual and love it, wouldn't knock PDK as it's brilliant but in a car like the GTS a manual box completes the experience for me. I believe that something like 70% of all new 911's are now ordered with PDK, there are fewer manuals out there but I doubt it will affect residuals because there are fewer prospective owners.
Horses for courses. I chose the PDK on my GTS as it's a truly awesome gearbox. I came from a C2S with shortshift which was also a great gearbox, albeit difficult to select second when cold. I have two other sports cars with manual gearboxes, so PDK is a refreshing change, and absolutely lightening quick when combined with Sports Chrono Plus.
I have the manual 'box with short shifter and I have to say it's an awesome 'box! Can be a little stiff when cold but soon loosens up and then is rifle bolt accurate - lovely!
There are far less manual GTS than PDK - How Many Left website indicated about 70 out of a total of 300+ sales. So they will remain pretty rare IMHO.

GTS is just a very desireable car, PDK or manual...

Well I went from a 2010 Gen 2 PDK car and one of my deciding factors behind changing to the GTS was to go back to a manual car.
I agree the PDK is brilliant, but having owned one for a year - I decided the manual was more for me. So I think with only 30% of cars being ordered as manual now - I can't see that much effect either way on residual value from making your choice.
Also allows for a bit more 'throttle blipping' to enjoy the sports exhaust

Ah - OK - so the answer is that there are less of them _and_ they're so good no one is selling.
In reality, I think you will find most 'manual' cars will have been factory order cars for a client. Given that they are still less than a year old - those individuals are unlikely to be already selling. Many of the PDK cars were stock order, a lot of which were also registered as demo cars and hence more available.
Manuals are great, and will always have a place amongst drivers.
PDK is faster, safer, smoother, more efficient... it's all about transferring power from the engine to the wheels efficiently, maintaining driver interaction with safe guards, and PDK simply does it better. PDK is the future.
Did Porsche make a manual 997.2 Turbo S?

Awesome car and awesome gearbox and I will get another PDK car one day.
I would be surprised if the 991 Turbo has a manual gearbox at all.

I think that it might, just simply because the 991 manuals are now using the same 'box as a PDK as I understand it, so there is no need to do much work to have a manual option and there are no problems with torque levels on the 'box.[quote=cmoose
Right now, that doesn't matter because we're talking about a new car predominantly bought by non enthusiasts and for them, a car that changes gear so efficiently is a big plus.
But 20 years from now when the potential customer base for used GTSs contains a much larger proportion of enthusiasts, that's when the balance of supply and demand will shift and the very low numbers of manual cars will push up prices.

Strange set of beliefs there mate, suggesting that the majority of current GTS owners are not enthusiasts. If you're trading generalisations, a bunch of people who buy new and therefore take the biggest hit come resale (in general) would qualify as enthusiasts in my book. There may be exceptions to that rule, but that would equally apply to the used market.
