996 indicator problem

Noticed a problem today--- when turning left the indicator does not cancel. When indicating right the indicator stalk does not stay up--- it needs to be held up-------
Any thoughts?

Its no help but this reminds me of a defect report I received when I was a truck fitter in another life.

'INDICATORS WORKING INTERMITENTLY'.

Still makes me laugh now.

Replace it.

Happened on my 996 Turbo if I remember correctly the whole stalk needing replcaing

Been trawling the net and it appears to be a common problem
