Wonder why it's back there so quick.
Only saying from the personal perspective of being 993 daft, as you'd Have to be to buy this, why would you sell so quick. It has always been top money and I would have thought you would buy it as a keeper if it turned you on. Looks n no go?
I think it looks great but am opposed to anything green (geography thing)
Why is it not someone's keeper or 10yr car?

The guy has had a lot, and I do mean a lot of Porsches. A real enthusiast who enjoys experiencing different models within the Porsche line-up. He fancied a change to a newer 997 and so is now driving a lovely facelift 997.Only saying from the personal perspective of being 993 daft, as you'd Have to be to buy this, why would you sell so quick. Not everyone wants or is able to keep a fleet of cars and whilst some would be happy with the same car for 10 years others enjoy the thrill of the chase and a variety of Porsche ownership experiences.
We are delighted to have it back in again. As has been said already 993s of this caliber are getting increasingly hard to find.

I have a flaw when it comes to cars as after about 6-12months, I get
bored & go on a search for my next set of wheels; sometimes the search starts
a few days after me buying a new car, always on the look out.
My wife has a list of all my cars and over 45 years of driving I've had about
150 cars, 20 of which have been Porsches. It's probably cost me a small fortune over the years, but it's what makes me tick, and there are worse vices, believe me.
I did buy the mint green 993 as a keeper, and in the first couple of months, I had the wheels refurbed by Exel in gloss black rather than matt, which is a big improvement, and also had a new screen fitted with the surround & scuttle being treated at the same time.
I know it's stupid, but the car was now becomimg too 'precious' for me to use every day, and there was no way I'd take it out in the wet; this meant I had to buy a third car & so purchased a very nice Audi S3.
So here I was at 63 years old, retired, kids flown the nest, limited income but running 3 cars just for the wife & me. If I had more garages and limitless funds, there's no way I would have sold the 993, and I probably will regret selling it at some point, but I decided I needed to replace the 993 & my S3 with a modern 911 which I would be happy to use on a daily basis, and even take it out when wet !!
I spoke to Tom at 911V and he said he'd be happy to take the 993 back and he'd let me know when something of interest was coming in; in the meantime, while waiting, I did place a private ad on PH for £30k, but although receiving several calls & offers of part-ex's I did'nt want, nobody actually travelled to North Staffs to view it.
In the meantime, Tom had a really nice spec Gen.2 997 C2S coming in with PSE, sports chrono etc, so we agreed a deal and the swap was done.
The 993 is a bit of a marmite car, but I loved it, and people who did'nt initially like it, found that it grew on them over time. It is truly unique and of the 10 993's I've owned over the years, it's up in the top 1 or 2; the worst 993 I owned was a tip C2S for lots of reasons. I emailed Peter Tognola before buying the car, and he replied that it was one of the best 993's he'd seen, and that was good enough for me.
Good Luck to the new owner, you won't regret it, I certainly did'nt.
