Hi all, keeping my eyes peeled for a 996gt3 gen 2, preferably clubsport and came across this

http://www.gmundcars.com/cars/804/996gt3clubsport....

There is a debate to be had about the merits or otherwise of the low mileage, but otherwise, anyone have any info or comments about this car or the dealer? PM is fine if preferred. Thanks in advance.

I spoke to them about this car around 10 months ago, the car has only had something like 1 or 2 services in it's life! They told me if it had the correct history it would be £50k.

There is not even MOT's if I remember, the car was/is part f someone's collection, and he never serviced it! Shame

The ad states all old MOTs??

Lovely looking car, the low mileage would put me off a bit because I'd want to drive it, and every time I went out in it I'd be thinking about how I'm making it a little less unique in the future.

Its been for sale that long?
With that mileage i would not worry , get a big service on it, mot and as the ad says it like a new car.
I would buy this GT3.

If it sat in a collection not moving from one year to the next would you need to service it??? Filters , pads , discs etc all not getting used ......why change them ?

Thanks guys I certainly think it warrants investigation. Not bothered about the service history as long as the mileage can be verified and gave it a good amount of tlc before use. Will be interesting to see if ig is on original tyres for instance which 8yrs old will be fit for the bin I think.

I enquired about that car a month ago and it was sold waiting to be collected. I left my number if that fell through so I'm surprised if it is still for sale. Have you confirmed?

Not yet, I was labouring under the assumption that a car advertised for sale for the 2 weeks I have had an eye on it would be available. I shall revert!

The story above about it being in a collection ties into what they told me. I only missed the guy putting a deposit on it by 2 days, surprised it was for sale so long. I also don't understand why it was never advertised in the PH classifieds?

I'll be intersted to hear if it is for sale; it would be pretty poor show if the dealer had a hot propsects number and didn't bother to phone them.

Gmund regularly advertise cars that they've previously sold - this car has been on their website since 2010

Keep searching, there's a car out there for you. I feel quite lost not searching every day now I have found mine!

Good luck.

What a crap way to do business. If the car is sold take the advert down.

Do they leave it up so they can try and push you into a different car they have? Or is it just to look like they hold more stock?

Either way, it's usually buyers that waste peoples time (if anyone), not the seller.
