Hi guys

I have woken up twice in the last week or so to find both of my car windows completely open even though I 100% locked and closed them when leaving the car.

Any idea what could be causing the windows to open by themselves? The car doors were still locked I think.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Get the Alarm system coded to 'extra long' for the button actuation time, early cars had easy to operate buttons - you could upgrade to the later type keys?

Check the door lock barrel isn't sticking too....

A 996 owner on the other forum had a similar problem last week. He seemed to think that the issue went away after he charged the battery.

This. My Gen 1 987 was forever doing it - I'm now in the habit of walking in the door and taking the keys our of my pocket. My rather tight "David Coulthards" seemed to be operating the windows for me every time I sat down.

Gen 1 keys are known for doing this. My first month of ownership I was goimng crazy thinking it was some sort of electical glitch not realising that the key buttons are very sensitive if in the pockets... and i dont even wear david coulthard jeans :P
