Went for some ice drifting in Austria this weekend. Had to laugh when my friend turned up in his GT3 looking like this:

Like the way he has already dumped the splitter - don't suppose it would have lasted long anyway?

911Thrasher has a roof rack on his RS as well I think?

It sort of looked stupid and cool at the same time if it makes sense. It doesn't come across in the picture, but it the car looks like a properly beat up race car which for me made the box look even more out of place. Uploading a short vid at the moment - looked even more out of place "in action" (and was rattling a fair bit)....

Its a place near Kitzbühel in the Austrian Alps - if you've been to Lappland and the likes its boring, but its ok for an afternoon messing about honing one's car control (and a hell of a lot cheaper). More info: www.fahrspass.biz

The splitters/front bumpers on ALL the 911s that were there didn't make it home unfortunately, but that didn't come as a surprise, really...

Yes I do - getting quite some usage too. Quite a few thousand miles with it and lots of moskitos bugs stuck to it.

Good news: will be heading to the Alps in a couple weeks time snowboarding with the RS of course.
2nd good news: got me thinking if I sell the RS for a CStradale I won't be able to go surfing/snowboarding anymore, so almost a certainly no go anymore.

You can see how drifting is hampered by messed up aerodynamic balance wink

Was that a 911 Taxi caught at the end of the video?

As a matter of fact the car apparently pulled to the right quite a bit on the autobahn as well smile

Mine a few years ago on the way to Verbier, we managed 167mph on the GPS before we decided enough was enough...... The wind noise was actually terrifying, not something I'd repeat

Wasn't my most sensible moment, but we were having some fun with a 360, which we consistently walked away from..... Will never forget the look on the Ferrari drivers face as we just pulled away on him every time.... Very funny
