Just bought a nov 2011 997 C2s and the dealer is going to look into retro fitting the MF steering wheel, but is unsure, its a manual so no PDK to worry about, does anyone know for sure if this is possible?

It's a cinch for the OPC, but not cheap. Not at all difficult yo do it yourself.

I always thought the MF wheels are the worst looking of the bunch?? thiner depth to
the wheel...... Wouldn't you need the options on the car in the first place that the
functions related to? like phone ?

Sorry, no idea of the exact cost, just going on something I read a while ago. Here's an indication however. This wheel, although not the right one, will give you an idea of replacing the wheel.

So, at least £820 for the wheel alone. You may need to replace the airbag, buy a wheel adapter and pay for fitting if you're not doing it yourself.

I always think Porsche are lagging a long way behind in the features department with things like this. My wife had a basic Clio years ago that had audio and other controls on the steering wheel. For the money we pay, why not a 911?

Agreed, it should be standard, as should Lumbar support, mine has the sports seats and i can see having to go to Asda to buy another lumbar pad, just stupid on what was an 84k car but then again clio's don't have the same smiles/miles!
