Hola,

Quick question, 17 x 7'' and 17 x 9'' OE Cup 2s for a 94 993 C2.

Can someone tell me what the correct size tyres are for these please.

Muchas gracias in advance. (Having a bit of a Spanish morning) rotate

That sounds odd. The fronts would be the right rolling radius and offers a big choice of tyres because it's a very popular size (Golfs, BMWs etc) but the rears would be too low (nearly 1.5" short on diameter) which may affect clearances and the speedo would be out - on a Carrera 4 I imagine it won't be great for the 4WD system either, different axles turning at different speeds.

As everyone's said 205/50 and 255/40 are correct.

Some owners do fit the 225/45 up front, in an attempt to reduce understeer; but that might work better with a 7.5inch wheel.

Mine was a 2, but now you've got me 2nd guessing myself as I did switch to 18s a year into ownership. It definitely had 225s on the front though, maybe the rears were 255 and went to 265 with the 18" splits.
Was a long time ago sorry frown

265/35 18 is the standard size for 18", so that's probably what you had?

It may not be a definitive answer but http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/porsche_alloy_whe... gives
front: 205/50R17 Z
rear: 255/40R17 Z

Yip more n likely!
It definitely had 225s on the front though, maybe the previous owner did that to try and eliminate the understeer as said earlier, it didn't suffer too much from it as many 360s (in the early days!) would testify!................. Ah it's all coming back to me............. Eh, no its not !

Old age....... Bummer!
