You have Adrian Flux in the list, is that an error?

Ben at MWA was thousands less than them, A Plan weren't much better at £1600 for me.

Hardly a high risk either, 35/no points/no convictions/garaged/restricted mileage/10k car/5 yrs no claims due to living abroad.

+1, I was quoted double the amount of my other quote, 45/3 points/no convictions/garaged/restricted mileage/15 yrs no claims!

Edit: should have said I ended up with an Admiral multi car policy, excellent.

Just had my renewal through due 23/1 gone up by £70 for no reason.

Will have to do the ring round again.

Comparison sites are useless for Porsche insurance.

Confused.com came up with Tesco Insurance at £650, whereas all the above are double that...?

Dont know how you got that - I was quoted over £1K by Tesco via confused.com 5000 miles / annum and I have full NCB no points / claims and am 40 this year! The annoying thing is when you click through the link to buy the price always changes.

I don't know either, very surprised!
All the other "proper" insurance companies (predictably) say don't touch Tesco's, you'll get a high street garage using second hand parts to fix your Porsche in the event of a claim. However, I am pretty sure you can take your car to any garage you choose, right?

Admiral came up with a good multi-car quote, and A-Plan have also been very competitive.
The likes of MWA, Porsche Ins, Carole Nash, are all in the same ball park fig of £1300 - £1400.
Awaiting further quotes from Bridle, Nowell & Richards, Heritage.
CVI couldn't quote as a 2005 car is too new for them. Lots of other co's above are annoyingly closed on Saturday mornings.
Bridle say they can mirror my insurance and NCB from the daily driver car, not anything anyone else so far has suggested...

...if you can find a mature lady to add on to your insurance it drops the premium by around 10%
I don't know why, but try it on one of the collator websites and there you go...

It means your mother can offset your girlfriend (or for the more mature driver, the wife can offset the mistress)

The ones with Mirrored Policies are Bridle and Comp Car Ins, so can leave the main car alone with full NCB intact.
CCI dont offer a courtesy car, but I suppose I wouldn't need that if I have my main car anyway... and they are £200 cheaper.
To go with a higher excess, or not...? hmmm

Symmetry do Chubb cover, which is excellent, and they're a lovely company to deal with.

No affiliations, just they're so good that I won't shut up about them. They might not end up the cheapest (though they did for me and a few others I've put their way), but the difference in service and coverage terms is worth heaps.

Bridle, MWA and Henderson Taylor worked out a great deal for me; ending up going with Bridle as they were a little cheaper than the others - £570 for a Turbo S with no NCB, but a mirrored policy from the main car. Still can't quite believe the price... biggrin

My quote this year is cheaper than last from Henderson Taylor. 350 for a 996 C4S in the bad lands of South East London.... No one else can get within 200 quid of that.

Another shameless plug for Bridle. They turned up a well tailored policy for my 944 turbo and are just nice to deal with. Efficient and friendly, definitely worth a call and could save you a lot of time hunting for a decent quote.

Iv just been given a quote from Footman james for a 1999 996 for £524 full cpm with £100 excess.
Thought that was very reasonable as im only 21.

the next quote to that was from a specalist our of a magazine (cant remember the name) but they give a price of £1100

ps i am 40 not 21
