I would love to have a programmable (via a couple of shiny dials) pdk transmission - where I set the up-shift AND the down-shift points in auto-mode.

In Auto Sport Mode it starts shifting up when the revs drop down to about 2000 rpm (until it learns how you are feeling - then it rises accordingly) in Sport Plus it shifts down at the red line and up at about 3000 rpm and thats it - nothing in between!

In Between - would be nice.

I hardly ever use any auto mode - but when I do - its generally quite brilliant - smooth and the throttle-blips are uber-cool + its learning mode is sublime - but its all or nothing!

In manual mode - it can be less refined (jerky) - but once you have mastered the correct pdk technique - blips and smooth downshifts are absolutely the best.

PSE on - manual mode on - 1st gear engaged and move off with revs up to 5000rpm - back off throttle and then change gear to 2nd - the popping, growling and banging - love it!!!

Come on Santa - where are you?

PS - just for fun - santa

You could just buy a car with a manual gearbox.

I can see why they don't let customers programme the 'box now.

I 'programme' my box every time I change gear.
