But 997 GT2s are generally substantially over £100k while OP's budget is in range 50-100k.
My choices would be
1. 997 GT3 comfort spec.
2. Cayman GT4
3. 997 GTS
4. Boxster Spyder
5. 997 C2 manual (50% of the budget 90% of the fun)
ah yeah, forgot about that when reading something above over 991.2 GT3? by us still expensive. My choices would be
1. 997 GT3 comfort spec.
2. Cayman GT4
3. 997 GTS
4. Boxster Spyder
5. 997 C2 manual (50% of the budget 90% of the fun)
your list 50-100k is then indeed a better source

GT2's also seem to really struggle in the UK. They seem to languish at dealers for a long time.
Maybe they make more sense as a GT car ?
Strangely yes, but do not forget, so did some cars that are now worth fortunes.Maybe they make more sense as a GT car ?
I've never driven one, so I don't know how hard the ride is, but I think its more usable in todays world then a GT3, a GT3 wants to stretch its legs were a GT2 has some boost/power lower down.
but then maybe a good GT3 gives also pleasure at lower speeds, not sure, not driven such as well... what I hear in some video's when they compare those, most seem to love the GT3 but thats when driven like racers on the streets, so I wonder how it is when driving normally within the speed limits and on busy roads.
the GT3 I guess gives more sound/vibes? the GT2 pushes you harder in the seat and more easy and or on shorter distances.
oooh the choices :-) In my case I think I would like the GT2, so many GT3 cars around compared to GT2 but when GT2 then with the bucket seats and I guess if I had it, a tune to around 620 hp which seems a animal.
But sometimes I think, I buy some classic old car, with a bit extra power or Restomod and its fine and usable power without going nuts yeah I'm getting old ;-)
