Love this:

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2010-porsche-9...

Very similar to my .1 in spec. What do we think it will go for?

High miles might put most people off, can’t see dealers wanting them miles.

It’s exactly what I’m looking for as I only do 2,000 mile per year, shame no buckets, front lift or leather dash but it’ll do me.

Looking forward to bidding.

Agreed, much more usable car though imo - it's made my ownership far more pleasurable being less worried about putting miles on (purchased at 60k~ on the clock)

Anyone know the rules on viewing a car or PPI’ing? The car is only around 25 mins from me.

You just contact CC and they put you in touch Dan. It's just like a private sale really in that regard.

Not sure why you’d want to pay £1500 for the dubious privilege of buying a leather dash and some other bits you don’t need ?

You’d be paying the labour to remove and refit the dash irrespective, so you may as well remove it, send it off to your chosen trimmer, then refit it, or better still, get them to do the whole job.

The car looks good, though on the basis of my experience with my Midnight blue 996 GT2, the hue might prove to be Marmite. Personally I like it (though it’ll be a pain to keep clean) but many will want something “more GT car”. There’s always the option of a Mexico or Voodoo wrap ...
I doubt the miles would put a dealer off if they can buy it for the right money.

Hi Dan, hope you're well ?
I have my "views" on 993 Turbos (looked at and driven a few over the years) they're great looking cars, and I can see the appeal, but unless you're talking 993 GT2, dynamically they're a far cry from any 996/997 GT3.

The Collecting Cars Gen 2 '7 GT3 would make a great car, no mileage "premium" and no mileage worries everytime you use it, and seats that whilst not the last word in support, would make it a comfortable touring car. Added to which the Gen 2 cars are generally just a bit more rounded than the Gen 1's.

The lack of leather inside will be deal breaker for some, I agree it's a nice option to have, but when all's said and done, even without it, it's still a Gen 2 997 GT3 !!

yep I hear you. The poster replied that it was a shame it didn't have those options, but yep I would agree. $32,000 for a set of seats is pushing it.

Those are gen1 seats. Gen2 are the usual carbon folding items which can be had for 7k and are probably the best looking seat I’ve seen - much nicer than the overpriced versions from the Carerra GT

If the comfort seats weren’t so damn comfortable (and supportive) I’d have switched already.

Near 60,000 mile PCCB - will they need checking?

A visual check to start off with will give a good idea as to how the car’s been used (though the Comfort seats would tend to indicate it’s primarily road use)
If the surfaces of the PCCBS look like new, it’s most likely never seen track duty, in which case I’d feel pretty confident bidding on it.

If you want to ensure they’re good for another 60K road miles, you’ll need a proper inspection with the car up on a ramp so you can check the inner faces properly.

There is piece of kit that enables you to measure the wear digitally, but I don’t know of anyone that advertises having it.

Carboteq only suitable for the latest iterations of carbon ceramic, 991 onwards AFAIK.

Visual/weight method for the old ones still.

Ask moonmiles, original set of PCCB’s on 140K~,

Mines at 63k, health checked by 9e and in good shape.

So I presume unless major punishment on track they should be ok
