1996 Toyota MR2 GT
Discussion
Sort of an impulse buy this one, but i saw it and just fell for it.
Its a full UK car rather than an import, and has aircon fitted as standard.
Its a 1996 MR2 GT in what seems to be an extremely dark green metallic shade - sometimes looks black, sometimes looks very dark grey, sometimes looks very dark green. Its not a T Bar model, but has a sunroof instead. From memory its the 173BHP model and seems to have some sort of induction kit fitted to it as its quite 'rorty' when you rev it.
Drives as you would expect, but feels quite 'old school' compared to more modern stuff.
Alloy wheel edges are corroding, but i plan to remove the lacquer and polish them. The centres are fine so dont need any work. I've clear crystal indicator lenses ordered for the front as the current ones have went cloudy and dull, and clear crystal lenses ordered for the sides to replace the orange ones, so hopefully that will 'lift' it a bit.
Didnt pay a fortune for it so overall well pleased.
