I'm a regular lurker on here constantly looking at this section as some of you guys have some beautiful/strange cars.

I'm Sim and i'm 21, here's my car istory since I passed when i was 17.

My first car was a GOLD Yaris, a rather unsual first car as you mainly get oldies driving them. The car was really good and of course a legend as a first car. It had two gearboxes go in it and it wasn't reliable at all! Luckily someone ploughed into the back of me while i was waiting at an island and it got written off...

Damage and the temp replacement:

I thought hard into what I wanted next with the little Yaris only being a 1.0l 16v and very cheap insurance...

I got this... yes another Yaris which was really cheap at the time, a 2004 Toyota Yaris in Chilli Red:

I had loads of fun it but the reliabily issue caught up on it again with YET ANOTHER GEAR BOX.

Here's how it looked once I got my hands on it.
It sat really high so i bought some TEIN -40mm springs, some wind deflectors, some Rotas and of course a powerflow back box. Yes i was stupid doing all of this to the car but at the end of the day i loved it.

Unfortunately some T***S keyed my car really hard from the drivers wing all to the drivers rear. I was not a happy bunny and fell out of love with it. I took all the parts i bought off it and made ALL of my cash back. I kept all of the standard parts luckily.

This lead me to choose my first quick car, which i bought in Jan 2009

A Peugeot 106 GTi:

I bought it with 80k on the clock for a tidy sum of £1900 which i thought was rather reasonable considering the condition.

I bought some performance parts for it like, Air filter, 4-2-1 Manifold, Straight through supersprint exhaust and also some Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2s which i picked up for £100 BARGAIN. I sprayed a few things Red which looking back on was a bad idea...

Any how this car gave me no problems appart from a temp sensor going and coilpack dying on me, these were all cheap fixes!

Unfortunately I crashed it and a curb got the better of me. I cracked the sump, snapped the drivers side shaft clean off, and bent the chasis. I haven't told my insurance company and I won't be as i want to keep my no claims (4 years September). It's currently living in my garage as spares. And i might wack the engine in a 1.1 over the summer for a sleeper biggrin.

I wasn't ready to leave the GTi scene yet so I bought another one which I adore, in a rather nice Mauritious Blue colour V plate with 95k on the clock. it was mid change over which meant it had leather interior and the nice white dials.

This one was muh more refined than my last one, with less owners and loads of service history. It even has a Private plate on it...

My Grandma and Nan kindly gave me some money, as i need a car to get to and from college and work, and i leant the rest of some very very kind parents.

I bought the car on Wednesday and French Car Show was on the Sunday. My friend and I set working on this one on Saturday. Luckily we got everything done in time, which consisted of:

Service
Manifold
Supersprint exhaust
Induction kit
Alloys
Cleaning throttle body and ICV

Also a quick clean and wax

We made it

On 106owners stand:

Future plans are to fir my 266mm brake conversion from my old one once i have enough for new pads and discs, fully underseal it. Oh and of course to enjoy it.

Eventually I want to cam and throttle body it once I have a more stable income.

Thanks for looking
Comments appreciated whether good or bad, as i'm bound to get a grilling...
