Hi guys. Just got back from a trip to the Nurburgring with my Teg (#00001) and my mates (#06369).

The cars performed faultlessly, with mine getting 155mph on the clock (146 on the sat nav) on the autobahn before I chickened out! It averaged 30mpg over these 1100 hard miles.

Tyres - Falken - were spot on in the dry but awful in the wet.

My daily hack is a BMW 530iA SE, most would conclude a very comfy car. However, the Teg was great. Ride was obviously a lot harder but even at high speeds conversation was audible over the HKS exhaust and the seats gave no back pain whatsoever!

nice, sounds like you had a lot of fun. It takes some hanging on at those speeds does'nt it! With the Vtec screaming its almost painful winding them up to Vmax, eeking out the rpms......

Its very satisfying having the top speed and gearing so well matched.... some cars i'v owned have had 3k rpm left and are just "sat" at there Vmax.

What where the rev's 8600?

yeah it was very loud at 150+ (on the clock). Not as stable as I would have liked either, my Cooper S felt far more planted but guess it should well do.

Revs were circa 8600. Not 100% sure as I was fixated on the road and the odd glance to the speedo!

It was still accelerating at around 1mph every 5secs or so but I backed off. Mine is one of the first 100 built so has a higher rev limiter at around 9000rpm.

My DC2 has been on 120 laps of the 'Ring, over 30 trackdays, takes me to work and back every day, averages 32mpg, and has just clocked 150k miles. It's the best all-round car I have ever owned.

I may well have to buy one of these next year. The first car I drove that actually made me laugh out loud!

Great cars, ive had 2 UK's and 1 JDM. Was using one for the last 2 weeks to, so much fun and great on the GAS, far better than any of my DC5's. They do bring out the child in you biggrin

Had a bit of a blast on the way home, it was hot in folkestone today and then rained breifly the roads where actually steaming! Lovely roundabout near me, quite large with a generous camber on the inside, proper 2nd gear limter action on full lock in the EP3, the bloke in the Ka waiting looked well pleased with my efforts.....
