I picked up my new (to me) barge a couple of days ago, so I went from this

With a 2ltr petrol lump to this

Yes that is a Weesel engine but tbh its actually pretty damn good

Long suffering better half in this pic and the 206 ive been driving recently (that little 206 is such a giggle to drive)

Yes i know its as exciting as magnolia paint (and a bit too old man for a 26 year old) but I need something this big for the planned stereo install, its comfy, reasonably economical, quiet on the motorway and, for what it is you actually have some fun driving it on the twistys as long as you remember its a Weesel estate and not a hot hatch - does really need better tyres on it as it has cheepies but they have only done 100miles so the Yorkshireman in me wont replace them until they have worn a bit

urm its best to describe the planned install is loud (but im not a chav, if anyitnhg i hate the idiots in town centres just doing laps over and over agian)

Like i said its not the most interesting car on the planet but its a nice place to sit and as the vast majority of my driving is slags up and down the motorway and boring roads then its damn good for what it is

Dont worry about being 26 and having a Mondeo, I had my first Mk3 in spring 2003, before my 22nd birthday!

Is that the 6 speed 130 or 5 speed 115 ? Whats it like on diseasel ?

Fancy another Mondeo but couldnt live with petrol economy again at the moment...

its a 6 speed with the 130bhp engine

In regards to fuel economy, ive not had it long enough to decide BUT

when i bought it I filled the tank, did 120or so miles of my usual, then jumped in the car to go from Yorkshire to Peterborough and back for a modified car show. before setting off home i shoved 20 quid roughly in the tank

and the fuel gague is currently reading half
