Just added a teenage kick to the garage...

Hope you like it. It's an absolute pantomine of a car - ridiculous noises, small powerband, cartoon look - and I love it. Here it is with it's new friends...
Inside the powerplant - this is the point I need Sabretooth. "Oooh, shiny!"
And with the daily drivers as well (well, I had most of them out... )
So, the collection is nearly complete... just one more to go...

Cosworth is putting out 330bhp (GGR conversion). Very different drive to the LCR - the LCR feels much faster on its feet, with much less turbo lag, much more usable power band, and feels very nimble on its feet. (If you can't guess, I really miss that car - even now).
Cosworth - 2k rpm powerband, and it is lazy getting to it. Unless you thrash it. Then it is an animal, but it is a 17 year old animal... and you can really tell the difference.
I'd say back to back, the Cosworth might have the edge in an A-B race. But you'd get out of it feeling like you have fought nature and just about tamed it. The LCR you wouldn't get out - you'd spin the car back and go for the return loop.

Exactly how I feel about my LCR. I had to get rid of it as it had almost 100k on the clock and I was adding 30k a year to it. I should have just replaced it with a lower mileage one though! Thanks for the comparison. As they say you should never meet your heroes so for me the Escort Cosworth will probably just stay a dream!
