Hope you like it. It's an absolute pantomine of a car - ridiculous noises, small powerband, cartoon look - and I love it. Here it is with it's new friends...

Inside the powerplant - this is the point I need Sabretooth. "Oooh, shiny!"

And with the daily drivers as well (well, I had most of them out... wink )

So, the collection is nearly complete... just one more to go...

That first picture is envy inducing to the MAX!

What an amazing collection of cars, and if you don't mind me saying, a beautiful house smile.

Cool as F!

Thank you all. The house is taking a lot of time and effort to get it up to scratch... but the rooms done so far are stunning. But even painting the outside woodwork and metal has taken me five solid days thus far. We bought well, but the best investment is elbow grease. (Jesus, did I just write that???)

Why is there a car in the top of that tree (1st pic right hand side)? A bit of spookery i think.

Lovely collection though. You are a very Grey man with very colourfull taste.

I know, the colour choice is terrible now - and the Mrs was taken by a black 360. I think some colour should be injected - maybe Ferrari resale red, and a colourful track slag?

What kind of power is the Cosworth putting out?

Also how does it drive compared to the Leon (I had a nose through your car history!). I used to have a Cupra R 225 and always wondered what it would be like up against an Escort Cosworth.

Cosworth is putting out 330bhp (GGR conversion). Very different drive to the LCR - the LCR feels much faster on its feet, with much less turbo lag, much more usable power band, and feels very nimble on its feet. (If you can't guess, I really miss that car - even now).

Cosworth - 2k rpm powerband, and it is lazy getting to it. Unless you thrash it. Then it is an animal, but it is a 17 year old animal... and you can really tell the difference.

I'd say back to back, the Cosworth might have the edge in an A-B race. But you'd get out of it feeling like you have fought nature and just about tamed it. The LCR you wouldn't get out - you'd spin the car back and go for the return loop.

Lovely collection. Is the Rangey a S/c? Otherwise any oli burners should be reduced to the servants quarters!!

Lovely house and scuderia.

Exactly how I feel about my LCR. I had to get rid of it as it had almost 100k on the clock and I was adding 30k a year to it. I should have just replaced it with a lower mileage one though!

Thanks for the comparison. As they say you should never meet your heroes so for me the Escort Cosworth will probably just stay a dream!
