Bought this very much on impulse at the weekend after buying an Alfa 156 on eBay the seller wouldn't sell to me as it went too cheap, then a Bora 2.0 Sport which turned out to have very nearly no clutch at all, and 4 electric windows, none of which worked.

This was local, cheap and looked like it could be a laugh to run around in for a few months so I went to have a look with cash in my pocket and drove away in it. So far, I love it, although I seem to be driving like a 18 year old trying to impress someone all the time!

Pics shamelessly nicked from Autotrader as it's already filthy!

I actually quite like these. Doesnt look too shabby in the colour either.

Should of looked at a couple more before I bought the A4.

Could have bought one for what youve spent fixing the a4 tongue out

my gf has a 1.4 almost identical to yours, apart from its a brighter red and has different 5 spokes !

Its not a bad car, can throw it around and has just enough power to make it all enjoyable so i don't mind driving it

Mine is the GTi (although not the 180 bhp version sadly) so has plenty of power for day to day use. It's completely standard, down to the original CD player. The arch extensions and grille, along with metal pedals and a few other bits I'm sure are all 'SP' pack extras which are apparently quite sought after, although I didn't realise that when I bought it.

From what I can tell it needs an engine mount doing and that's about it. Unfortunately it's currently about 150 miles away at the office, and I'm driving a rented Merc Sprinter Luton which is nowhere near as fun!

Yeah hers has the SP kit on as well when we bought it, i think that's what made my GF like it ! It does make it look much better tho, its barely touched 20k miles on an 06 plate so the hardware is hardly run in.

Had my GTi for almost 4 years, very reliable and I really liked it. Not amazing performance but decent enough for 138bph. I actually test drove a couple of 180s as a replacement, not bad at all, but opted for the Clio 182 instead.

Looks nice, We sold my dads a few months ago.

I found the clutch thumpy and the gearchange really long. (could be fixed for £20 but never did it)

Good cars though, feel fun and handle well.
