Firstly, hello! I've been browsing pistonheads for years and taken advantage of classifieds quite a few times so I thought it was time I contributed something.

Here's the 205 I've been hillclimbing for the past couple of years and have also used for a couple of trackdays. Its currently up for sale here: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1634493.htm if anyone's interested smile

I'm also currently building this GSXR1100 engined Aries Locost to use this season:

Should hopefully be a lot of fun!

Other cars in the family at the moment are my mum's Impreza STI Spec-D:

The everyday car Fiat 500 1.4 Sport:

And a couple of the interesting previous cars, the Mk2 Polo I had when i turned 17 back in 2008...

Which was replaced with an AX GT (a lot of fun!):

Thanks for looking!

Nice car's Adam! The 205's definitely a good track and hill climb car - lets hope it goes to a good home!

Can't wait to see the Locost done (and to get a ride hopefully).

See you around!

Is that Robbie? If so, we'll have to get the motorsports guys to organise a trackday together at some point. If not, I've possibly made a fool of myself!

Skylinecrazy is a young lad interested in Hillclimbing, hence I'm after getting him onto this thread so he can get the hint, and buy your pride and joy smile

Skylinecrazy, if you read this and want any info on getting into hillclimbing and who to talk to then let me know.

Simes205, I'll try! I struggle to find the thread and my photobucket account wouldnt let me upload photos for a while, so i lost track of the updates. I'll give a big one this weekend smile

I've seen the '5 about I think, looks like a very well prepared car and a fine driver you are too sir.
unfortunately funds prevent me from taking my interest any further at the moment, but over the next couple of years I'll finally be able to get started. (hopefully)

Which championship are you going to be running the Locust in? I'll be sure to look out for it over the coming months whilst I'm on my travels.

Question, why would you need Group N engine mounts (that cost a packet) in a 85bhp car?

Because the old standard ones were shot from 120k miles and 20 years on the road, and repeatedly launching on sticky tyres literally tore them apart. At the time I was planning on creating a 120bhp frankenstein XS/XSI engine so I saw no point in fitting 'comfort spec' peugeot mounts just to have them torn apart again when TI motorsport sell the much tougher Group N mounts for £100. They also offer much better clutch feel as you're not taking up slack in the engine mounts.

I hope thats a good enough explanation for you!

Locust = a cortina based seven-alike with a body made from marine ply (eek). I'll be running the Locost in the Richard Egger HSA Speed championship, the same one i've been running the 205 in smile
