My OH's auntie was getting rid of her old car, and very generously let us have not only first offer, but also pay alot less than they'd get in p/x.

anyway pics!

its done 18k, FRSH, the lux pack (heated seats, colour coded leather, double sunroofs etc)
first impressions, gearchange is crap, my 200,000kms MX5 feels 100% better. there seems to be no indication of what gear you're in of the 6 to choose from!
steering is heavy but provides good feedback, seats are firm, but hold you well.
and its rapid. proper box of frogs, hyperactive squirrel fast. Sadly also very quiet, with only a slight turbo whistle to indicate you're pressing on.
holds the road very well, but im afraid i've been tainted as i also own an MX5. you just can't grab it by its b0ll0cks and throw it up the road, it has the final say.
its also surprisingly eco as well, over 33mpg around town!
all in all, very impressed, and look forward to our years together. smile

Lovely stuff, My 1.4(100) Dynamique has been fairly unreliable, mostly the electrics, but I'd quite happily swap it for an RS any day, the 225 even seems to be just as 'economical'! - I'd say the gear change in my 1.4 (5spd) isn't too bad actually, but definitely not 'great'...

Compared to the MX5 everything else is like stirring porridge!

True, true. Mind, tried a Peugeot one recently? It's like it's made from sponge pudding and paperclips!!

What colour is that on the RS? I like that, alot

cheers all, the colour is 'Inferno orange' which is a reasonably rare colour, even more so on a 5 door.
The MX5 cost me a whole £1300 about 6 months ago, and i've prob spent about another £600 on odds and sods.
obviously the two are like chaulk and cheese, but compliment each other very well smile
