Unfortunatly its no Ferrari but its the best I can do at the moment smile. I picked it up easter weeeknd and so far its been great, loads of power and compared to my previous teg really comfortable and a lovely place to sit although I do miss those lovely Recaros the teg had.

Anyway here are some pictures, hope you like.

I posted a pic of my mates Golf aswell just for the hell of it.

My bro had one exactly like that, had a problem with the throttle sticking open at random, dealer told him its a common thing and there was no fix for it.
Anyone else had similar problems?

Have to admit I did like it.

Are you completely new to these cars?

Ta for the advice, I will be joining fccuk I have already done quite a bit of browsing on it. I am completly new to these cars originaly I was looking for a GTV V6 but saw this and bought it.

It's in great nick with full history and 1 owner from new. Ill definatly be keeping on top of mantenence as im told if these are looked after they are quite reliable.

Looks lovely. I made the change from a Teg to a Fiat Coupe a couple of months back, agree with you on the Recaros comment. Did you have a DC2 Teg?

Yeah it was a dc2, brilliant car but I got board of having to ring its neck to make progress and in the fiat making progress is effortless.

I would keep both if I could.

Glad to hear it. If you have any questions about the car feel free to ask. You'll have plenty of smiles behind the wheel of that little beauty!

When was the cam belt and aux belts last changed?

They were done at 40k in 2004 and it now sits on 74k. It had a service at a well know specialist just before I picked it up which was a bonus. Next service is due this time next year and I think ill get the belts done again then as ive read they should be done every 40k, is that correct?

I have a stainless back box sat around doing nothing for one of those if you want itbiggrin

I took it off & had a custom cat back pipe made up. That was it though, just a pipe- no silencers & it sounded frikkin' awesome!

I have a video of it somewhere I can post up if you're interested...

Hmmmm, thats quite a while ago. If I were you I'd take a look at the belt for signs of cracking.

The cam belt is located inside the plastic cover on the left hand side of the block. You can bend a corner of the cover back gently enough to have a look with a torch at the belt.

If it has any cracking anywhere I'd get it changed sooner rather than later. At the same time I'd advise that the auxillary belts be changed at the same time. If the power steering belt snaps it is likely that it will take out the cambelt too.

Oh, and I highly recommend a stainless steel ehxaust biggrin

I know.

Apparently it is the accepted abbreviation of Honda Integra.

Don't worry though. I still have to stop myself saying omnibus sometimes wink

Back on topic...

Groober,

Very nice car. Drove one shortly after they were launched and other than the epic on boost torque steer found it to be great fun with an engine note that reminded you of the Audis of yore.

I know little about owning these but will always have a soft spot for them. One thing i will say though is that cam belts are so much cheaper to change than heads and pistons smile

Sob

Exact same colour combo as my old one

the noise with a de-catted exhaust is sublime,

enjoy it!, I think I will have to get another after I've finished my studies!

Cheers for the comments people. I have checked the cam belt and all looks to be ok but I will be getting it changed some time soon.

As for an exhast I have been considering one but this car is so original and i'm not sure if I want to change it, and anyway I think ill get the belts all changed before I consider any modifications.
