My 1997 E36 328i

Thought I'd do a piece on my car as the 328i seems to be quite popular round these parts!

1997 (January) 328i SE Manual
Boston Green
136000 miles
Engine block replaced with steel linered one
Remapped to 207bhp - 221 lb/ft.
Full grey leather just been done with liquid leather.
Brand new BMW mats x 4
Eibach Pro Kit with 10mm lowering spring cups on the front.
E36 'lean' sorted -sits perfectly level at the rear.
Bilstein B4 dampers
X Brace
Strut brace (fits around ASC)
Staggered Sunflowers with Michelin Pilot Sport 2's all round - loads of tread.
M3 front bumper with splitter and GT corners
M3 boot spoiler
M3 rubbing strips
M3 Mirrors
Angel eyes / 6000k H.I.D's / Shrouds / Delensed.
Becker 7992 Grand Prix head unit
Becker Ipod link cable in the glovebox - controls all functions from the head unit.
Infinity 6x9 speakers under the parcel shelf. Not a mega setup but sounds very good and very good bass.
Rear sun blind

Tons of other little improvements which I've done in the 5 years I've owned the car.
Drives really well, quick, quiet and virtually no rattles at all. Handles beautifully, sharp but compliant.
It's been my hobby / project and has been maintained regardless of cost.






The gauges were from an Audi 80 sport, looked OK and matched the BMW dash but I couldn't be bothered with senders etc so they've gone now.







I'm considering having the full individual lower dash/ console treatment. It seems to lift the interior ambiance and look more 'expensive' if you know what I mean.

Nice! I think the 328i saved the E36. The M3 is great car and now a performance bargain but the 328i is the thinking man's sports saloon, only improved by the touring bodyshell imo The E36 323i was also damned nice.
