1974 Mercedes Benz 280SE
Discussion
While on my holidays, I met up with a mate a found his concours winning 1974 280SE in his workshop. Found on ebay, one owner, always garaged, never driven in the rain etc. Needed very little work when he picked it up, and has to be one of the few 280SE's in that condition in the world, due to the V8's being more desirable.
Ok, my mate has a serious OCD problem
Just found this too for those who like this kind of stuff:
Here is his write up (with loads of photos) on the cleanup engine, and interior - even the old MB anoraks are impressed!

That looks gorgeous.
Were they all fuel injected in '74 or just the higher spec cars? I take it's some variation of K-Jetronic fuel injection?
Bob, check the link Were they all fuel injected in '74 or just the higher spec cars? I take it's some variation of K-Jetronic fuel injection?
74 was D-Jetronic apparently.... Later cars were K Jet.
Stunning car smack. I'd love an old Merc like that to tool about in.
