Yellow Paseo is the limited Galliano model (1 of 50) which I made my mum buy back in 2006. My auntie also owns a silver Paseo (standard - minus the factory options) which is the car that made me fall in love with Paseo's 10 years ago (yep - Paseo enthusiast, don't come across them often..)

And Paul, you lucky git! I booked my theory for the 30th so hopefully can be on the road shortly.

Need to find an insurance quote lower than £2000... in respect, I paid £1500 for this one as its immaculate with low miles and enhancements... they are worth around 700 quid standard... they are trying to say il crash the car 3 and a half times in a year...

£2k is cheap for a 17 year-old in a modified car.

I know its relatively cheap.. but for a 1.5 N/A car.. still quite high. That said, i'd be paying that on some 1.1 Saxo anyway.

Whether your driving a modified Paseo or a 1.1 Saxo, its still going to be blooming expensive if a learner driver hits someone in an expensive car smile

At your age I would have been (sort of) happy paying 2 grand for insurance on a car with modifications, don't worry, it comes down quickly enough.

By the time I was 19 with 3 years no claims mine had dropped to £300pa on a car I was paying £2.1k for when I was 17

Need to remember that your paying a premium for the possible third party damage and injury you may cause if you had an accident. The value of your vehicle is not as relevant. The modifications won't help though. Best try a specialist like Adrian Flux or the like.

When I was a young'un they just gave me silly quotes higher than the normal insurers. Back then people were willing (if a bit reluctant) to insure modified cars for anybody under 25, they seemed to adopt that policy when I turned 24 which was chuffing annoying.

I've been told Tesco are quite cheap, so thats another posibility.

Well not updated since purchase, but have been putting it into this *BLOG*

Some good news though. I turned 17 on Monday 29th March, and Tuesday 30th March I passed my Theory Test biggrin

Anyway, for the record, hes been washed, I replaced the bootlock for a one in better condition, I fitted my fuse box and washer bottle lid that I had from previous projects (sprayed gunmetal to look a bit smarter) and also sprayed the cam cover and manifold heatshield so it looks smart. I hate the look of the manifold underneath so will keep the fresh look for a while before I have enough money to splash out on an OBX 4-2-1 mani.

Pictures speak more than a thousand words :

Added my Optional Headlamp Protectors

Some clean sexy shots

Bootlock before

Bootlock after

Sprayed cam cover and heat shield, aswell as adding my wristband to act as a reservoir cover... biggrin

And an arty shot of the floormats that are unbelievably mint! These are now stored underneath the boot matt, so they can keep clean, il continue using the st-taking matts.

Thats it for Rhys for the mo smile

Very very strange little car to get geeky about but fair play; you obviously have a thing for them and that's a lovely way to start your motoring career. Drive safe!
