Well after a wait of nearly 9 years I have got myself a MINI!

I know it isn't an Elise, a C63, or anything mega exotic, but I think it's enough for me right now!

I have sold my first car to fund this, and had planned to have one for a very long time so I do hope it is worth the wait!

As a 10 year old kid the MINI was launched and I had to have one - As a long time member of a large MINI community and after the parents having two of them, the time was right to finally get myself one!

It's an October '01 build Cooper reg'd on 24th December (someone had a lovely Xmas present!) with a full MINI Service History, covering 72k miles. I am very particular about my cars (well except the Land Rover I suppose hehe), and it is in very good condition both inside and out, and it's even quite well spec'd;

  • Chili Pack
  • 6CD Autochanger
  • Manual Air Con
  • ASC+T
  • Full Panther Black Leather inc. Sports Seats
The other night I was hit by some idiot in a Saxo doing about 50mph in a 30 limit (this point you hardly exceed 25 as it is a blind bend) so my driver's mirror is cracked and need to replace both the caps, hopefully with some MU09 ones providing I can find them! How my mirror is still on and working I don't know, it was one hell of a whack, and the first time I have ever hit or been hit on the road frown

I'm going to keep it as OEM as possible, but some white side repeaters and roof decal won't go amiss. I will also change the tyres, because the last 2 owners have been insistent on Run Flats! Round these lanes I might as well throw myself out the door for all the comfort it gives me, but I don't care when you finally get it hooked up, it is such a brilliant car to thread round a few bends when the opportunity arises! No it isn't the fastest car in the world, but at 19YO, it's plenty fast enough for the safety of myself, passengers and other road users, without feel like I'm constantly wanting (step forward the Fiesta, though a 17 year old doesn't really need any more than that to begin with)

A quick few pics with my friend's Corsa Trip (even he would admit it is quite possibly the least predictably handling car on the road)

PH Stickers to be added at a later date, and perhaps even get along to a few meets!

Hopefully catch some of you around,
Ollie smile

Looks like you've got yourself a nice tidy example. How much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking?
