very nice very jealous

really want one of these

how do you find the SMG gearbox??

i have a 330ci at the mo and find the tiptronic function and its ok but i am sort of put off the SMG gearbox, a mate has a manual and loves it but there are far more SMG's out there.

is it jerky? are they prone to break?

it realy is love it or hate it. you need to drive one to see if its for you. its not like an auto but you can make it change very smooth once you get used to it.

i love it because theres no heavy clutch in traffic and town driving

and when you want to "drive it" its such a blast really sutes the car. imho

can be a little tricky at manoveriung/parking speeds but you soon get used to it.

The 330 box is a true auto and not an SMG system so totally different.

Nice but bin the halfrauds stereo and fit the standard.

i dont really have any plans for it yet.

the wheels could do with a referb (any recomendations)

and the front bumper has a few stone chips that could do with a repaint

but other than that its all good really.

i no the head unit dose not look the best in there but it gives me full ipod/phone control, hands free,
bluetooth, cd, and all works with the orignal stearing wheel controls so over all much better than the standard business tape player it did have.

would have liked the wide screen nav system but at the price i paied could,nt really complain.

They do seem to be going for very good prices at the mo dont they, i just need 5k and im getting one!! being a student doesnt help that situation though

i agree with the the head unit comment, but then again having the ipod/bluetooth gadgetry is very handy particularly through the wheel still very clever

Very nice. Carbon Black? Head Unit might not fit as well as stock but it appears to be Alpine and if that's the case they make some great stuff. Are you prepared to travel for the wheel refurb?

exactly, to say halfrauds is a bit of a joke. Alpine make fantastic stuff, dont listen to the sheep dude.

Re wheel refurb, I have used these guys on several occasions:

http://www.lepsons.com/

They're very good. Gillingham are best for me but assume Swindon are just the same and most likely more convinient for you. I've literally just had my 18's redone in a shadow chrome effect and am really chuffed with the result. I think they can also do something very simalar to factory finish on the 19's, though I believe the effect is slightly different to standard. They will obviously quote you a price dependant on what you want done but it will most likely be somewhere in the region of £300 for all 4 based on my previous experiences. I'll be posting some pics of mine over the weekend so keep an eye out if of interest.
