Well, sold my JCW MINI in a move to cut monthly costs, but I still needed something fun and nippy....

Enter the Lupo GTI smile

The spec is:

2003/53
Anthracite (very rare colour)
34k miles
1 owner from new
Full VW service history
12 month VW main dealer comprehensive warranty

Advertised at £7290, bought the car for £6600 plus £200 for 12 month tax and a full tank of petrol, so £6800 all told.

Performance comes in at 8 seconds to 60, but the 6 speed box makes it feel much nippier than it probably is!

Pick it up next week, I cannot wait!

Really like these but Christ they cost a few quid - don't lose value though I guess smile
One of the techs at the local VW main dealer has a minty mint silver Lupo GTi and that looks fantastic!

Thanks guys. smile

Will miss the JCW, but I am really looking forward to getting this!

Today I ordered some red piping to sit in the front grill (Golf GTI style) think it will work really well with the dark paintwork.

I will also be placing an order for some AP Coilovers in the morning. I've got no more mods planned though, I want to keep it pretty much mint!

I'll dust off the DSLR when I pick it up and get some more photo's uploaded. smile

love it! we nearly bought one a few years ago but they were still just out our price range. bought a renaultsport clio 172 instead at the time but have always had a soft spot for the lupo. post pics when you get the coilovers on it, then i'll be really jealous!

great cars, but dont ruin it with cheap coilovers, find these to be excelent in standard guise. if you want it lower look into eibachs and not suspension made from old shopping trolleys wink

Eibach springs on stock dampers? Surely that's a bad idea, because the dampers will wear out?

AP coilovers may be cheap, but they are made by KW in Germany and are the same internally as the Weitec Hicon GT's.

Nice car, reckon it'll look sweet when it's been dropped. Get yourself back in a MINI one day!
