Nice car mate. I bet that flies with the v6 engine and combined with the responsive chassis, & precision steering I bet it embarasses a lot of much more expensive machinery over a challenging B road

What did you have before the Vectra?

Why would it be taking the mic?
That creamy and deceptively powerful GM-6 mated to a four speed slushbox is one of the great engine-transmission marriages of the late 20th century.

Couple that with the darty and feelsome steering for which the Vectra is renowned, the taut and communicative chassis that lets the driver know when he is right on the limits of the cars predigious grip by telegrpahing a mere whiff of understeer.

All of which is kept in check by brakes that seems to resist fade after numerous hard stops from 3 figures. What's not to like? All of which is set-off beautifully by the rosewood inlays on the centre console.

Absolutely cracking car.

Nope sorry, but if it helps - I do have an unreliable Punto (soon to be changed) which might be worth a giggle tongue out

I wouldn't call a rear wheel drive drift machine a "relaxing drive" tbf

I wouldn't call a Vectra "a rear wheel drive drift machine" unless i was a fool/fantasist.

Bless. It's nice to be nice and like my mum used to say "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"

Fortunately I can think of lots of nice things to say about Luton's finest precision instrument
See - I just can help eulogising about the mighty Vectra
