I think there are some prestige car hire companies around, but also I seem to remember there is some outfit organising Supercar experience days at Silverstone where you get to drive Lambos and so on. Maybe these folks could be pursuaded to come out and collect you?

Based in Cheltenham... run by a friend of mine...

www.weddingsupercars.com

Take your pic from Lambos (inc Diablos), Ferraris, Porsches, Caterhams err, you name it. Reasonable prices, too.

If you speak to Bernard say that Dom sent you! I don't get commission but it'll probably tickle him ;-)

Can't see it being cost-effective driving all the way up from Cheltenham to Silverstone.

I guess it would depend on price and/or desirability of the car.

What do you think, Cosmic?

Cheltenham isn't far from Silverstone, well, not like Land's End to John O Groats. Besides, the cars are based around the country at different locations. I'm not sure how proximity affects price, but I don't think it is by too much if reasonably local.

Anyway, maybe more details on his website etc. I already look like I'm in his pocket so i'd better shut up ;-)

Its true. 'Cosmic G' is in fact my fiancée, now a PistonHeads member in her own right which means I have to watch what I type now.

The funny thing about the car hire thing is that I grew up in Cheltenham.

Cosmic G,

How about being driven in a faster TVR than JonRB . After all, I have to get my own back following the karting.

Let me see, an invitation to a wedding at Silverstone on a sunny June weekend, fed, watered: should do it

Hope to see you both at the Basingstoke Massive meet.

What did I do at the karting? I can't remember punting anyone off / upsetting anyone!

But I gave everyone a good chance! After all, I did punt myself down from 11th to last place on the first lap.
