Hi guys

Am on here most days but never really post anything - usually just lurking and reading biggrin

I previously posted my first car here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

After passing my test I owned this for just over two years and put around 30k on it, before I decided I was due something else. Went to look at a Leon Cupra but sadly this had sold when I got to the garage. However, a Mazda RX8 caught my eye so I decided to take a closer look. I looked at these for my girlfriend a while ago, but she decided to stick with her Civic so I forgot all about them.

This was up for a pretty decent price and had an excellent spec (Bose audio system with 6CD changer, full red/black heated leather, sat nav etc) and was in good condition. After a lengthy test drive I bought it biglaugh

Some pics - apologies for the poor quality.

Hope you all like it - comments and criticism welcome.

Looks nice but I'd hide you're numberplate on the pictures on here buddy.

There was a pistonheader on BBC1's cop show tonight that had, had his car cloned because he had shown his number plates in this section.

HTH.

Velocity Red probably my favorite colour on the RX. Really miss my company one's I've had.
Might be worth looking into getting the exhaust off a PZ as it really produces an excellent noise with that exhaust.

Cheers for the comments guys. Yeah I've looked at upgrading to the PZ exhaust but the only ones I've found for sale seem a little pricey. Is the difference really that noticeable?

The car is still taking some getting used to. It's not the fastest thing around, but the noise it makes when it's reaching 9k revs is awesome biggrin

I always think that....but then again if someone wanted a reg plate for a certain car they could just as easy see your reg plate when your driving about.

Ah but it would appear they are using PH's car section and other forums to get number plates.

Nice example. I'm
looking at s2000s and rx8s for next year. Both make fantastic noises when driving ' enthusiastically ' rx8 is looking inviting because of the boot space and rear leg room, the lowish prices make it fantastic value.

Exactly what I thought mate, at the garage I bought this from they had a nice light blue S2000 for similar money. Was a year older and they wanted £1k more for it. In the end the RX8 won due to all of the toys include.
