Just picked up a new toy this weekend to replace my sadly departed Manta.. i knew i couldn't be without a fun rwd car for long.
She is lovely, not a bit of rust, pretty much full history and very well looked after. The only deviations from standard are the Mtech-2 rear spoiler and clear indicator lenses (which i don't think are staying).
It is a really fun car to drive, very tidy handler could do with a quicker steering rack but really quite impressive straight out of the box. and a lovely revvy 4-pot.
i've got a few plans... i think we're going to have a lot of fun
E90 meets E30

Love it, except for the aftermarket head unit sticking out, have a look on Ebay for a BMW Bavaria / business unit from an E30 I got one for my M3 for a quid.
If its a keeper get the bumpers taken of (easy DIY) and clean all the crap out of the wheel arch liners and replace with new will not cost a lot with genuine parts and if you waxoyle it all up before putting back together you will have a car that will last further still.
Do the headlight wipers work? Usually the seal goes on the spindle and water gets in seizing them and blowing a fuse, not a bad job to remove the light units and strip / grease them.

Isn't that a Tech-1 spoiler with the colour coded panel
The anorack is in the post.. yes i belive you may be correct, is the Tech-2 the high level one that the 325 sport had then? And don't worry i'm already on the hunt for an original stereo to replace the horrid silver one fitted.

Out of interest, how do these four-pots do on petrol compared to the sixes? I love the shape!
Not much better from what I've read. Servicing and insurance aren't a lot less either.Gorgeous cars though, the E90 looks so incredibly lardy in comparison! Probably not a huge differences in the numbers on sizes though. I still can't get over that my A6 is about the same size as a 300C, yet looks tiny in comparison.
Lovely car, I've got an alpine white iS Love the Tech 1 spoiler, I'm after one myself!
If you're changing the indicators, fancy swapping for a set of originals? I've got all mine (got clear fronts, but kept the orange standard ones) and I'm really after some clear repeaters
Chuck us a PM
Edit: That spoiler is from a pre-facelift 325iS, called a Tech 1, as they had the full 'Tech 1' bodykit. The Facelift 325iS has the 'Tech 2' bodykit and spoiler, which is a more rounded affair with door mouldings and a two piece rear spoiler. iS's had 'Heckspoilers' as standard, which are a small lip spoiler, and the rare iS front lip spoiler.
*ahem*

Thanks for all the comments guys, really proud to own this lovely car
...and thanks for the offers of swapping indicators, didn't realise the smoked ones were that desirable! i have now sourced an original set, and i want to keep the smoked ones in case i change my mind in the future!
