Very nice Simon. A lot quieter as well!! I'm looking forward to the good weather and some good meets.

I drove the 250 a couple of weeks ago at Bedford Autodrome as part of the PH/Renault test drive day. It was an awesome car, so much better built and more comfortable than the previous design. Cup chassis was very stiff but maintained a great level of feel, good throttle response and just great fun round the track with the added bonus of feeling like a normal car when you just want to go from A to B.

I'm interested to hear how the petrol 225 compares to the diesel 175. 50hp is a big gap but I imagine the diesel torque is a still a decent figure.

Diesel had more pull from 1000rpm to 2000rpm but then faded out like most diesels still wound up pretty fast, running costs arn't that much different to be honest, maybe got an extra 50 miles from £30 of fuel in the derv! but the 225 sounds awsome when the turbo winds up, mate has the R26R which is totally different again sound wise!
