Picked it up yesterday (went a fair bit over my budget), took it along the A4069 earlier today:
What an upgrade! In a different league to my old car. It's in almost mint condition, small mark on one alloy and a couple of tiny stone chips, not bad for 49k miles though!
Insurance really was a killer for me but it's worth it

Looks like it has Bluetooth, what other extras does it have out of interest?
I've a 318 in Silver-Grey (same 18s as yours) and still think the black looks better in some ways but the Silver-grey was top of my list so I don't regret it!
Yep it's got bluetooth, all the usual extras apart from electric / leather / heated seats.I've a 318 in Silver-Grey (same 18s as yours) and still think the black looks better in some ways but the Silver-grey was top of my list so I don't regret it!
The colour is actually called techno violet, that picture doesn't really do it any justice, heres one from the dealer:

Even though they are only 150bhp they're no slouch and still deliver almost 50mpg
I was surprised by it, it's got double the bhp of my old car but it feels like even more! Must be the torque.Edited by Rueh on Monday 8th February 17:37

I don't get it I'm afraid. A diesel repmobile? Doesn't float my boat at all, my money would have gone on far more exciting cars. As long as you enjoy it though, I suppose that's all that counts, so fair play. Sounds negative but i mean no offence.....
Don't be afraid. You have no idea what this chaps circumstances are, how many miles he does or what he needs the car for. In my early to mid twenties I ran a host of Bavarian 'diesel repmobiles' as I did a lot of miles and, more importantly, I wanted to get into higher quality cars rather than mess about with crappy hatchbacks like my friends were at the time.
What this man now has is a gorgeous, punchy sports coupe which handles and rides well yet gives him 50mpg and will hold well on residuals. It's probably a very well thought out choice. A great all rounder.
eta: he does need to save up a few hundred quid for a leather interior off ebay though!

Fair enough, and well put!
Re-reading my post it does come across as negative, which wasn't really my intention. I just assumed that this car cost several thousands of pounds, and it wouldn't be where my money went, that's all (and yes I have driven plenty of Beemer diesels). OP, hope you enjoy the car.....

Really? On a 2.0 diesel? They're only group 14/15 aren't they? I'm guessing you must be 18 or something? You wanna try insuring an M3 with 9 points, 1 years' NCB and a big claim 12 months ago mate!

No offence taken, it's a valid point. I did toy with the idea of something more PH, but due to my mileage and job comfort was a bit too high on my list for it.Re-reading my post it does come across as negative, which wasn't really my intention. Well said! I'm not that keen on the leather though eta: he does need to save up a few hundred quid for a leather interior off ebay though!
My 330d has black leather and my 330i had the alcantara, being honest i preferred the alcantara but it made it a pig to sell! everyone seems to want leather and options! I can understand this when cars are circa 3yrs old but when they're 7yrs old and between 60-100k miles imo condition and how it drives would be the deal-breaker over heated seats and leather!
Yep, I've got the alcantara sports interior with carbon trim. It's very comfortable, even with long legs and big feet (ooer) I really like the way it looks - sadly no pictures yet though. I'm not sure why I prefer the cloth seats to leather, I think its because the leather makes the interior feel 'cold', even if it's not. Heated seats would be nice for my freezing early morning drive to work though!
