Fantastic fleet there mate! Love the SLK55 AMG's - great car yet so rare to see one. Probably because of the high list price when they were new. Love the V6 as well - needs the rims done to match the '55.

Ah fair enough.

The 55 is very nice anyway.

Can I ask what the steering on it is like?

My mum has a boulevard cruising SLK200 and when i drive it, I always find the steering feel very odd. Seems to have this springy-ness..... almost as if it is spring loaded to rec-centre itself.

Is the 55 the same or is it much better?

I'm not normally a huge fan of mercs but I really like that.

Off to look at the classifieds now!

I find the steering to be accurate and nicely weighted, I dont find there to be any 'springy-ness' as such (nothing out of the ordinary anyways), however the 200 will obviously be set up very differently to the 55?

I love the 55's, thought about getting one myself, just a shame about the lack of a manual...

In all honesty, I think I prefer the wheels in silver, or maybe in Anthracite, they get "lost" when they're black.

Yeah the reason I changed them from the standard finish was that they were suffering with the salty roads and they were starting to corrode slightly around the rim (a common problem with the standard wheels) so I decided to go for something different

I hate SLK's.

Apart from the 55, it's the only one I like and its brilliant smile

love the car & the black wheels, they look more satin than matt though?

I think thats probably because I had just given them a couple of coats of wheel wax prior to taking these photos, which has given them a slight sheen, although normally they are very matt!

Nice car, they look decent but the noise is their real strength. That and the fact that they go like the clappers.

Respect to your mate's V6 too.

Cheers, I had the resonators removed from the exhaust so it sounds fantastic, will try and post a video if I can work out how to do it.....

I hate Mercs in general but gotta agree with others that yours looks very nice and I think the black wheels play a big part in that. Mercs can be a bit overkill on the silver but the black wheels set it off nicely.

I'd still rather have the V6 biggrin

Now that's a proper man's car - V8 powered monster.

I'm only seeing SLK200 & SLK350's on the road.
