I have just sold my car, an RX-7, due to health reasons, & it had become very stressful trying to find a car that I could enjoy, have pride in ownership, yet be cosseted by a smooth ride to cushion the road bumps & have light steering. My original idea was to sell my car & look for a good Jag XJR. However, this is not a good time of year to be selling such a hardcore car, & although I had a lot of px offers, no cash buyer came forward. Then a couple of days ago I was contacted by a chap who wanted my Rex, but wanted to offer his car plus cash my way. I was initially sceptical, but after doing a lot of reading & research, decided to meet up to see if the ride of his car suited my needs.
When I met the guy it was obvious he took great pride in his cars also, so went for a test drive, which along with the condition of the vehicle, convinced me that a px would suit us both. He wanted my Rex, & I had a car that would get me around in comfort. As you will see from the pictures, my new steed is a Mitsubishi 3000GT. It is a UK model, with only 2 former owners & full service history, & is an absolute credit to its former owner. I have not had chance to take my own pictures yet, but here are a few that the last owner took.

Good colour, though the wheels look a bit lost in the arches. Maybe get some plumper rubber to fill them up a bit more and as a benefit the ride will be more comfy. Any pics of the RX?

I agree with you about the wheels Spoony, first thing I noticed, it is something I will look at but need to check whether a certain clearance is required due to the electronic damper adjustment, as the ride can be changed by a switch for a tighter, more sporty suspension setting. The sound is not as loud as the exhausts suggest really, its a nice deep grumble but not intrusive at all. I will try & get a sound clip when I can work out how to do it!

This is the RX-7, so sad she has gone, but needs must, & its new owner will look after her I am sure of that. My health being what it now is I was never going to cope with coilovers & poly bushes!

I absolutely love these cars. A friend of mine had a tuned GTO and it was one of the nicest sounding cars I have ever been in and it went like stink! Great choice.
