Had this a few months now and really like it.

Its not fast or slow, sounds nice and does 32mpg average, also tows my trackbike very well. im 24 and costs me just over £450 to insure fully comp.

Its done 104k but feels and drives like its done half that.

Very nice car. Did the mileage not put you off?

I dont really worry about the mileage aslong as the service history is good, I paid £5500 for the car. if it had 60k on a dealers forecourt it would have been about £8500

High mileage isn't important on most cars - especially not a BMW. It will easily do another 100,000 if looked after, and then another 100,000 after that. What's important is that its been regularly serviced and cared for.

Lovely car, nice alloys!

Part-exchanged one of these just before Christmas with 112,000 on the clock. Had no faults at all - no reason to believe it wouldn't have gone on for thousands more miles yet. Although if its a keeper, check the cooling system at that mileage. I had the water pump and thermostat done last year, because apparently they can often fail at around 100k

Was very sad to see it go, as it was an excellent car. If driven sensibly, could easily approach 40mpg on the motorway, but still had a decent turn of speed when required. It might be one of those cars I kick myself at letting go - just found it up for sale on Autotrader for £500 more than I paid for it a year ago.

Upgraded to an E91 325i Touring, because we've got a little one on the way, and 2 doors apparently weren't enough for playing around with child-seats etc.

Why do people automatically assume a car with 'high' mileage is going to be bad? I would take a car with high mileage and lots of history over one with lower mileage and no history.

Any pics of the track bike?? What you got?

Nice car BTW

Nice car for a bargain price. Mileage isn't the issue with E46s, finding one that drives straight and as it should is the problem.

Nice motor mate.

Miles are only numbers lol my old Impreza turbo had 140,000 on the clock and was still making just over 300bhp safely :-)

Looks lovely and I agree it's certainly a lot of car for the money, but I still don't think the smaller/mid sized engined e46's compare pound for pound with a good e36 for the money (ignoring the dated appearance ofc).

I believe they are the Facelift lights introduced later in the E46 Range.
