Hi everyone, thought it was about time i got some pictures of her up while looking dirty, just never got round to it.Its a early 2004 model bought with 26k on the clock and now on 37k 7 months later, nothing compared to some amazing stuff on here but at 18 insurance is a joke. its my second car, first was a saxo vtr, great car contrary to repuatation just a little tiresome but this is allround a better car. so here it is.

Looks good in black smile Great first cars these 1.4 MG's as long as you do your homework and make sure it's been looked after.

yeahh you have to check for HGF etc. but up until now its just had consumables, touch wood but the 105 1.4 is is regarded at the most reliable.

Good choice, i'm not one to talk over the 1.4's reliability TBH. I bought one in september, on a friday, broke down sunday! sold it back to garage. so we have another one now, and apart from some crappy immobiliser issues, its been fine smile

I do love them, but not as keen on the colour and hairpin wheels. Very tidy though smile

Always had a soft spot for these. Hows it stack up performance wise compared to the VTR ? is insurance less/more ?

Nice looking motor there and ideal for a first car! K series are nothing if not nippy engines, I'd imagine your car will keep up with a Saxo VTR no probs.

Just keep checking the coolant level religiously, have a look at the tank once a week at least!

I have a derv one and I have to say bar crap brakes repeated diff failures(my fault Ive put 60k on it mostly on B roads driving it flat out ) its been a very good car for me to run, mines an 02 and I have had it 4 and bait years it was only £3.5k when I bought it due to mgr's collapse.

I find rimmer bros good for O.E spares like a brand new gearbox still in its rover crate for £265 delivered

ps get the skirts for it.
