Absolutely gutted. Cleaned it for some 'for sale' pictures then it went dark and rained.

But what can you do? Not to let my efforts go completely to waste, I still took some pictures.

Very nice Alex thumbup

Like the wheels they really lift the look a notch. Interior needs some work though - dirt in one pic and a hairy leg in the other !

What's next ?

Looking very nice, CSL wheels suit it well. What you getting to replace it?

Yeah I didn't get round to the interior because it started raining!

Not entirely decided to be honest, something a bit bigger and better on the fuel.

Wanted to go for 123d and today been looking at 330d M Sports. Undecided.

I've an 08 330i and the economy is amazing (I imagine the most recent 130i would be similar) so don't feel you have to go derv to get good economy smile

Alas no - not quite. I've seen comfortably north of 40mpg but not 50+.

A mate of mine has a 120d coupe and he has seen high 60s on an, albeit slow, bit of motorway. Very impressive ! I went from a 130 to a 330 and the 3er is a more refined drive and a bit more comfortable as well as being bigger obviously. The 1er is rawer and I found the ride very harsh at times (on 18 inch RFTs). Both great cars but I would marginally lean towards the 123d - meant to be lovely and will certainly do the numbers on mpg, and you'd be looking at a newer one for your cash given it's a fair bit cheaper.

Let us know how you get on thumbup

Cheers - if I find a nice 123d 3 door with xenons, probably in black, with lemon or champagne leather, then it's mine!!

Well, unless I'm very much mistaken your house appears to have a specialist room designed to keep cars dry. It's behind the big door just in front of that purple 8 series. Open it and you will find you can drive your car into this room and the rain no longer lands on it. I believe they are called garages.

HTH hehe

I've an E46 55 plate 330cd M Sports, completely standard. Economy is good - 34mile round trip to work mostly on A roads gives 38 mpg. Motorways at a steady 80 leptons is around 45ish mpg and on a hoon... never really got the average below 30mpg. It did get blown away by a 123d the other day however...personally I think the 123d was chipped, well that's what my pride is saying!

I did try a 1 series before buying the 330 and to be honest the 1 series just felt a little tinny oh and the E46 is a dam fine looking car!

Anyway, I hope this helps!

Cheers QED, I have owned an E46 of the facelift M Sport variety (albeit with a stupid engine) and I think they look fantastic also - so an E46 would be something I would look at again.

I have also read on a forum somewhere that a chipped 123d will trouble a standard 335d - I'm not one to go off on one about that sort of thing though as I will simply want it for pootling up and down the motorway.

I need to get rid of mine first though before I start looking.

Not sure about the wheels on the Z4 personally, they do stand out as replicas, but that 8 is awesome.

I guess, but only to people that know they are based on CSL wheels. I personally just see a set of wheels that suit the Z4.

yes I know more about cars than probably at least 98% of folk (ok not PHers obviously but we are 'unusual') but they didn't shout 'rep' to me ! Bet you would struggle to find more than about 1 in a 1000 if chosen at random that would know for sure ...

Absolutely love the Z4. It's the same as the Z3, but one louder!
