Bought last night as a winter hack. Should see 60+mpg with conservative driving. Tbh, you can't drive it any other way as it's so amazingly slow.
I've always wanted a "proper" white one (had a couple of "creme" coloured ones before) and this already has the the Rallye stripes, some decent wheels, and to be honest it is in better condition than my GTI!

Since the photos were taken (by the seller) it's had the side repeaters replaced with proper 205 ones, and some Sparco mudflaps added.
Next job is to replace the front seats with some more comfortable ones with working bolsters, then perhaps an engine or turbo from my kaput 306 D Turbo...

Looks lovely. All these threads on 205s are making me all the more gutted that I'm going to have to sell mine to pay the bd government bd stamp duty.

Looks like a tidy example and makes a change to all the gti's you see. The 1.6 alloy wheels look ok on it but i cant help thinking the white steel wheels from a rallye would suit it better?

Also, i have a few gti bits kicking about my garage (mostly bits of trim, bumpers, full set of glass, etc) if you need anything drop me an email.

Yeah, I think I might get the Rallye steels for when it needs new tyres - but there are 4 basically brand new Avons on it at the moment, and I've always wanted a car with the 1.6 pepperpots. I just love the design, so much so that if they fitted over the brakes on my 1.9 I would have them on there.

I am looking for a few GTI bits - window switches, dash/instrument cluster and coin tray.

Do you have the opening rear windows? Might change them over on this...not sure.

Do you know of anyone who can produce decent quality stickers? I want some in the same font as the "205 Turbo 16" from the T16, but saying "205 Rallye".

Yes i agree the 1.6 alloys make a nice change and have aot or 'retro' appeal, i just thought the steelies might look better wink

I have alot of dash trim here, will take a look through to see exactly what i'v got. I dont have a cluster tho as the one in my track car shorted out so i had to use the spare i had.

I do have opening rear windows, and the brackets to fit them. If you wnat them just let me know, do you think they will be ok to post?
