Alfa Romeo GTV6
Discussion
Hi, I'm Performa 21 years old and newly registered but a long time visitor of the site and sometimes read the comments.
Especially a fan of Shed of the week, heroes, zeroes, Pic of the week ...
I'm a real Alfisti but generally love all sports cars old and new.
I drive a 146 with boxer engine as a daily commute my first car to drive (I had a BMW E21 318i before i had a license) it's a dream too rev and has never ever let me down.
My other car that I nourish is a 1983 GTV6 with 2500cc of alfa V6 heaven. It's in a very good state considering the bad rust proofing of the time, unlogic electrics and the quite exotic mechanicals like: -transaxle gearbox
-dual plate clutch
-driveshaft that spins on engine RPM(poor rubbers)
-de dion and watt's in the rear
-torsion springs in te front
-inboard rear disc brakes.
I'm trying too keep it original while still ironing out the design flaws:
-Adjusted the torsion bars in the front slightly too lower the front.
-MOMO prototipo steering wheel with adapter to fix the strange(for tall people) steering position and beefier feel compared too the original wooden one.
Future plans
-Going too replace all the rubbers(some of them old) in the suspension by stronger compound or even uniballs.
-Better shocks allround
-4 point steering harness
-bigger, badder 3.0 24v V6
and offcourse what you guys have been waiting for pictures and video's.
