Hi I'm Steve I've been reading this forum for a long time and I'm in awe of most of the cars on here smile my first car... well 4x4, was a land rover defender 90 when I was 15. I got it in standard form and started modifying it shortly after- this is how it looked when I sold it:

I sold that after 3 years and bought a Tiger Avon with a 2 litre pinto engine and haven't stopped smiling since smile I also have a jeep but thats my little project at the moment!

My daily drive is a '54 plate civic sport- would love a type-r, but the insurance is a killer when you're 19!!

Yes they are portals on it smile a set of Unimog 404 axles, it was great fun and when it got stuck it use to really get stuck. it wasn't afraid of a bit of water to;

The insurance on my tiger isn't to bad it's £890 a year but I'm limited to 3000 miles a year.

Nice. All the 90's I've owned have been V8's so when the water is deep, they stop before you get into too much trouble! My Austin Champ however had a fully encapsulated Rolls Royce engine that could wade in 8 feet of water. Used to surprise a few people at playdays! biggrin

Only one seat in the Tiger? Good to see someone my age being able to afford insurance on a Tiger, i'm hoping to get one in a few years.

All the photo's of my land rover are at Kirton, it's my local site smile I've taken both cobra seats out of my tiger and fitted the standard ones because they give me alittle more leg room with me been 6'5 I've fitted 4 pot Hi-spec calipers to the front and I'm going to fit a remote brake servo to it so the breaking is more controlable then it'll be getting a rollcage smile

I loved my land rover but it had it's floors, hopefully the tube buggy with my Jeep engine will have a lot less floors as I'm making it from the ground up smile Once I get roll cage done on my Tiger I'd like to change wheels and tyres then get suspension set up with the new tyres on, also I'd like to get a little more poke out of the engine smile
