Hi all
After posting some pics of my daily drive, I thought I would post some pics of my weekend/summer car, the little Fiat X1/9, It was restored by its previous owner by a little company called P1X 2000, Nick the chap in charge put a 3 litre alfa V6 in one wich was amazing. The main difference with this one is the front end grill, there is many details in the car, too many to list that have been done, the 1.5 has racing cams which sound fantastic, the paint is from ferrari. I got the Compomotive ferrari look alloy wheels last which really sets it off. Next plan would be some webber carbs, anyway, il stop rabbling and post some pics

here it is with another one

A photoshoot when I had my RS

Thanks for looking

James.

Stunning wee car, had one years ago and loved it.

Love that front bumper, really sets it apart.

Thanks mate, they are great little cars, not that fast but lovely handling.

The bumpers are from the original 1.3 x1/9 much neater.

Very nice.
Wheels look great.
My m8's dad has got a 'Grande Finale' edition sat in his garage wink
He had one a while back that he put a Fiat Uno turbo engine in the back of.

Lovely little car! I didn't realise these were so cheap to buy either, just had a quick scan of the classifieds. Are the older bumpers particularly easy to get hold of? Really sets the car off nicely, the later unit looks a bit clumsy in comparison

Thanks, the 1.3 bumpers do look alot neater, think the larger bumpers were a result of American safety regulations frown

Not sure how to get hold of the bumpers, this had them fitted by the previous owner. From what I've learnt the 1.3's are more sought after so the bumpers could be harder to get hold of

I suspect you're right about the American safety regs, responsible for a lot of hideous bumpers on plenty of other cars as well. I'd love one of these but only if I could get the front end looking something like your x1/9

that is a lovely looking car - the wheels and small bumpers really set it off nicely. There is a someone down the road from me who has a couple of these but with the big bumpers and although I still like them, they don't look anything like as desirable as yours....

Any interior and engine bay photos?

That looks fantastic, I'm a great fan of the X1/9 (had 3, all 1.5s) and should never have sold the last, rather quick, one. If I ever had another, THAT is what it would look like, well done!

There doesnt seem to be many around, rarly see them around here either. The performance isnt too bad, only a little 1.5 engine but with the cams theres a bit more power, sounds faster than its going.

Lovely car. Those wheels really do give it the "Junior Stratos" look. Shame Fiat don't do something similar today frown

How freaky that you should post this up now.....

Was out earlier and saw a really clean 'D' plate, which I guess must have been one of the very last?

Didn't the guy that designed this also design the TR7 and something else, that unfortunately escapes me right at this moment?

Thanks for the comments guys, Superhoop, think that would have been one of the last yeh, think the last were the grande finales, lovely things. It could well be the same chap who designed the two, nick the guy who built this one said the standard ones do look very similar to the TR7

James.
