It's the baby of the range... The Renaultsport Twingo 133 - put down the deposit today, pick it up sometime this week if all goes well.

Took it on a 40 minute test drive and loved it, if it weren't for my parents I would have paid for the deposit there and then, without checking insurance cost etc... turns out that although they will be uncomfortable until I've had a full license for 12 months they're manageable. This car was an 18th birthday present to myself and fully intend to keep it for a good few years.

No interior shots as this was in the 'sold' car park at the dealer and if I had been given the key to unlock it, it would not have remained in there tongue out!

ETA; I didn't park it like that!

Is that Renault Bolton?

Great choice, on the Twingo, check out www.renaultsport.co.uk if you haven't
already they will help you out if you have any questions about anything.

Cheers

Well done. I test drove one of these, proper fun little car very (cliche warning) go kart like. And nippy fun car to drive, and I even quite like the looks where others don't. Definately a car that begs to be driven hard. Try http://www.twingooc.com/ for any info or issues etc you have.

Hehe, not quite my mother but a friend, who will hence forth be known as Marge biggrin! Nice spot.

Thanks for the link Somnophore - It's not got the cup pack no, it's an ex-Renault demo model with 2500 miles on the clock.

And I dearly hope not AndyBe, I've worked hard to get it and I am generally quite restrained whilst driving - It's not overly quick but is a nice step onto the performance car ladder.

Nice. I bought myself a Renault 5 GT Turbo back in 1986 when I was 17. Enjoy!

Nice one mate! I got my Suzuki Swift Sport at 19 and love it, it's a very similar type of car to the Renault and loves to have its neck wrung.

Take it easy though, the Swift loved to lift off oversteer in the wet which was scary at first and a hoot after a couple more experiences.

If it's anything like the Swift, you'll be able to keep up with lots of quicker vehicles as long as you maintain your momentum and make the most of it in the twisties.

Have fun thumbup

Sorry but how the hell as a student did you afford a 10k car and then insure it?
I only have a 2k mini and a 70cc scooter and even with 4k saved before and a decent part time job I don’t really have much left over every month and only about £1500 to my name now. It just baffles me how someone can spend 3 or 4 times as much and have all the student living costs on top as well I know when I go to uni I am going to be truly skint.

Same argument comes up everytime a young person gets a nice car. People always put it down to rich parents, but dont really take into account that people can work from 16 onwards and save, or inherit money, which is by no means down to being spoilt, just lucky and unluckly at the same time. Anyway if hes got it and can afford it i think the OP should be praised for spending it on some metral instead of pissing it up the wall on something far less fun or for that matter interesting. Looks like a nice motor, loking forward to some interior shots.
