Here's my current motor,a 96' E36 328i.

I have owned the car for just over a year. It has served me well.

Its a Cosmos Black 328 coupe. To date roughly 82000 miles.

Recent additions: DaveF induction kit, 15mm hubcentric spacers to the front (rears will follow soon) and M3 'twisty' sideskirts.

Enough of the blabber, here are some pics I took over the weekend.

Excuse the dirt engine bay

Interior: (Vaders)

Cheers,

James

Looks great, would you fancy a pair of Cosmos black genuine M3 mirrors to complete the look? I'm stripping my M3 to use the running gear in my track car.

Nope not standard, they are out of an M3 Evolution.

Nice car, congrats for not doing the whole replica thing!
I'm not sure how sad this makes me but I think Vaders are one hell of a sexy seat!

Unfortunately they don't hold you in as well as they look like they should, the suede ones are a bit better. Although they are very comfortable - I did over 600 miles in a day on the way to the Ring with no bum-ache.

I should stop looking at threads like this, every time I do I kick myself for buying an E36 saloon and not a coupe. Cracking car mate!

If you ever carry people in the back though they'll be gratefull for the extra couple of inches headroom. Driving wise I can't tell the differance between coupes and saloon E36's.

It's mainly looks wise, the 2 door looks great, especially OPs, if you ask me the 4 door isn't half as good looking. But like you said they drive pretty much the same so that's the important thing

As for swapping your mirrors i think your right to stick with the ones you've got, Personally i think m3 mirrors are horrid. I can see where the poster was comming from though as it does kind of seem like you are creating and m3 rep. would look cracking with no boot spoiler and some of those split rims they put on the 328 sport.

Thanks for the input smile

Yeah the Vaders are a very nice looking seat. As for the M3 rep, I think its the wheels that give off that impression. Hopefully I will be getting a set of BBS LM replicas soon. They look sooo nice on the E36.

Edited to add:

Hopefully will remove the spolier soon too, and replace with a lip spoiler to update the look a little.
