Absolutely love that shape, looks so liquid and flowing - even stood still. There's one in my fantasy garage.

Ill get some more pics up soon.

Some more details on the car in the meantime..

Its a 1984 car...finished in metallic platinum with a black interior complete with full black leather (a tasteful paint and trim combo on 928's can be tricky to find, especially on earlier cars)

She is wafted along by a 4.7 V8 linked to a 5 speed dog leg manual box (not a slush box) Needless to say its a hoot to drive....tons of power and torque smile

The car is pretty stock except the 17" cup wheels (which i think look ok, others may disagree) and a later steering wheel.

The car isn't my everyday means of transport but is a "keeper" so i have a long list of jobs i want to do smile All dictated by ££££ of course.

Yep, that's the business allright! Always been one of my favourite cars.

And with that V8 you can pull up next to someone in a 944 and say truthfully - "Mine's twice the car yours is."

Fantastic motor! The wheels look perfect on it - I was never a fan of the teledial style they had. The design has aged really well as well, still looks modern, which I think is the hardest trick to pull off when designing a car... It was first released in the mid 70's, wasn't it?

Very nice bet it drinks fuel though I know my 944S2 did and that was only 3l not 4.7 V8!.

Get some more pics up engine and interior please. Remember seeing one of these in Gold with a dark red interior!.

Dad had one a year old - metallic light blue (not sure what the official colour was).

I was about 10 at the time and loved washing it - the plastic/rubber painted bumpers were so cool as were the lights!

He reluctantly sold it because it was doing under 15mpg.

Replaced it with a uR Quattro. Then another one. Then another (full Treser) one!

Will always have a soft spot for the 928.

Ahh.. A fellow 928 fan, we are few and far between. I also have a 928s Manual and its so much more fun than the auto. Yours looks great, however it looks like you are missing the front spoiler, they can be hellish to get, stupidly expensive new and rare as hens teeth in good second hand condition.
I have recently fited a supercharger to mine (but that's another story) and had it repainted.
They are a rare sight now but still one of the fastest and smoothest drives you can get for the money............Well done that man.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys smile

Well spotted on the missing front spoiler...i haven't bothered replacing it because i prefer the look of the car without it, ditto for the rear one...i like the purer lines...

Tax is up today....looks like a blast to the post office frown
